- I left FGS in 1981 and went on to study Pharmacy at Sunderland, from where I graduated in 1984 and registered as a Pharmacist in 1985.
- I met my future husband, Paul at the end of my second year and we married in 1988. We now live in Powfoot, a small and very sleepy village on the Solway in Dumfries & Galloway, and have one daughter, Georgina, who is 7.
- I worked in a hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist for 15 years but have now moved on to work in GP practices as this allows me to have a better work-life balance.
- My hobbies include cooking, (especially Thai food), entertaining friends, reading, going to the gym, walking and holidays, especially to the Far East. I have recently become chairperson of the PTA and we are trying to raise a large sum of money for the school centenary in 2005.
- I have been and remain a lifelong passionate Manchester United supporter and still try to get to matches as often as possible.
- In view of the new opportunities within the NHS opening up prescribing to non-medical professionals, I intend to study and become a prescribing Pharmacist within the next year so that I can run my own clinics within the GP practices in which I work.
- My ambition is to retire to Phuket or Ko Samui with my husband.
