- I left in '48 and began work next door at
Clarke and Marland's garage
- I went to night school to get some technical
qualifications but then decided to join the RAF as an apprentice.
- I retired from the RAF as a Chief Technician in '73 and went out to Saudi
with BAC.
- On my return I joined BAC in Preston as a project engineer, later
transferring out to Germany to the holding company Panavia.
- From there it was out to Singapore for two years, and then back to the
Midlands. Here I have stayed except for a pleasant sojourn to America to work
for my parent company.
- After 30 years in the aircraft industry I finished my time in the automotive
industry.
- I am now living in Castle Bromwich — that's in Birmingham but we come under
Solihull for political purposes, thank goodness.
