- I was brought up in Kearsley and went to St. John's School.
- After leaving FGS at 16 I worked at Bolton T.S.B. for 16 years before leaving to get married in 1967.
- I have two children: a son born in 1968 and a daughter born in 1980.
- I have not gone out to work, except to help out at my husband's family shop in Rawtenstall until it was sold in 1977.
- I now enjoy a quiet life at home, doing mostly housework, gardening, etc.
