- I am one of four Old Farnworthians (my dad kept old Albert Wilson in a job):
- sister Irene (1932-37) who served in the ATS, qualified as a librarian, worked in Walkden, Little Lever and Ealing College, and died of cancer in 1993;
- brother Bill (1937-42) who served in the RAF and is now a retired headmaster;
- myself (1939-44) who qualified FCCA & ACMA, and
- sister Elsie (1948-53) who worked for the old L.E.P. (Lancashire Electric Power Company), which became NORWEB.

Now retired and living in Southport.
- Married to Mary since 1953. We have one son, living in Keswick.
