- Attended FGS from 1949-1956, arriving there from Hulton East Primary School, Walkden.
- In the German stream to Arts Sixth, where I took French, German and History.
- In 1956 went to Leeds University and graduated from there with an Honours degree in French.
- Appointed French teacher at Hemsworth Grammar School, South Yorkshire, in 1959, then in 1963 took up a similar appointment at Leeds Central High School for Boys.
- Married in 1960 to Dimitri, a Greek student I met at Leeds; we have three children and two grandchildren,
- In the early seventies we moved to Greece (Corfu to be precise), where we have lived ever since.
- Interests include reading, music, walking with my dog in the beautiful countryside around our house, and spending time with my grandchildren.
