- Imperial College establishing and managing first Southern Universities Computer Centre in 1964 onwards
- Returned to Atomic Energy Authority

- Lived in Berkshire and Hampshire for over 40 years and lived on Hayling island for 32 years.
- Spent some years after retirement as Finance and Technical Manager in a charitable organisation on the administration of YTS schemes etc.
- Later went to Zambia with BESO (British Executive Service Overseas) installing technology in the third world.
