- Left school and did laboratory work for a while
- Took up teaching in 1960 at Hayward Bilateral School, Bolton.
- Moved to Deane Grammar School Bolton in 1970 as Head of Biology until the school became comprehensive in 1982 and stayed there until 1989 as Head of Science. Then I retired early.
- Qualifications:- Member of the Institute of Biology and Chartered Biologist.
Teaching Diploma. M/c Uni.
- Interests:- photography, a bit of painting sometimes, and a fair amount of reading.
